Morgan Sands shot a 91 to lead Sweet Home to a team score of 401 on April 11 at Santiam Golf Club.
In a four-team match-up, the Huskies improved dramatically as a team, placing third behind Cascade (322) and Woodburn (348) and ahead of Junction City (423). Stayton also had golfers in the event, but not the four required to score as a team.
Behind Sands, Carson Perry shot a 99, followed by Joe Hiementz (100), Chet Garrett (111) and Easton Perry (124).
Cascade’s Ky Hemelstrand and Ty Beyer of Woodburn tied for individual medalist honors, with 73s, followed closely by Ramsey Gordan of Cascade, who carded a 74.
Sweet Home played again Monday, April 18, at Shadow Hills in Junction City. Scores were not available at press time.
