Hwy. 20 wreck

Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District rescue workers remove the roof of a pickup truck that rolled off Highway 20 Wednesday morning, Oct. 26, near milepost 24 and Dew Road. According to the Oregon State Police, James Melvin Bain, 61, of Albany was traveling eeastbound when the Ford Ranger left the highway, struck a mailbox, and rolled, coming to a stop in a woven wire fence. The truck had a CH2M logo on the door, but little information was available in the OSP report beyond that, including what may have led to the crash. Bain was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis with undisclosed injuries.
