Imogene ‘Kay’ Rosencrantz

Imogene “Kay” Rosencrantz, 82, of Foster, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19. 2022.

She was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Sim Simon and Opha (Chambers) Perryman.

She was raised in Wilder, Idaho, where she graduated from high school and then married her Junior High School Sweetheart, Ray Rosencrantz. They moved from Idaho to Sweet Home in 1957, making Sweet Home their permanent residence.

Kay’s dream life was to be a homemaker. She took much care and pride in all homemaking skills. She especially loved the outdoors, flower gardening, floral arranging, and crafts. Christmas was her favorite holiday of the year, having a great passion for decorating and gift giving.

She had an open door to friends and family. As a young girl she loved to entertain by tap dancing. She enjoyed taking in stray animals as pets. She loved her many cousins, sisters-in-law, and delighted in her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by the love of her life Ray, her children and grandchildren.

Kay is survived by her husband, Ray Rosencrantz; daughter Tami and her husband Dave Keen; son Todd Rosencrantz; grandchildren Brock and Sara Keen, Alex and Erica Keen, Michael Rosencrantz; and three great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Joe; father Sim Simon Perryman; and mother Opha Perryman.

Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday March 12, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Private burial has taken place at Gilliland Cemetery.
