Kokanee Power of Oregon held its first kokanee derby in the state July 26 at Green Peter Lake.
Forty-five fishermen participated in the event. Weigh-ins and a barbecue were held at Sunnyside Park following the fishing portion of the event.
Gary Miralles of Shasta Tackle Co. conducted the weigh-ins and served as emcee.
Each entrant could weigh in up to five kokanee and one chinook. Rod Paetsch of Lebanon weighed in 6.9 pounds to come…
