Iva Louise Sparhawk, 73, of Sweet Home died April 9, 2011.
She was born Nov. 28, 1937 in Port Angeles, Wash. to Robert Leonard and Gladys Jessie (Mickelson) Pollock.
She married Kenneth D. Sparhawk on Aug. 23, 1954 in Eureka, Calif. Their family traveled with Mr. Sparhawk’s employment. They settled in Sweet Home in the 1960s.
Mrs. Sparhawk enjoyed meeting people as she sold Avon. She was part of a Sweet Home ladies bowling league. Shopping networks were an addiction for her. She loved trips to the coast, playing video games with her grandchildren, watching her soap operas and shopping at Ross.
She is survived by four children, Roberta and her husband Michael Moore, Sharon Stredwick, Gwen Sparhawk all of Sweet Home, Charles and his wife Michelle Sparhawk of Kenai, Alaska, grandkids (nicknames) Peaches, Punker, Muffler, Cassi-lou, Benny-haw-haw, Brittser, Hanna-banana, Katie Dids and 8 great-grandkids.
Iva was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth D. Sparhawk, brother Robert M. Pollock, parents Robert L. Gladys J. (Mickelson) Pollock.
Private services will be held at a later date. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
