Jacob Hiett runs at Nike Cross-Country Nationals

Sweet Home’s Jakob Hiett runs at the Nike Cross-Country Nationals in Boise, Idaho Saturday, Nov. 16. Hiett finished 64th in a field of 210 runners, in 16:51.6. The race winner was Tanner Anderson of North Spokane, who ran 15:19.4 on a cold, blustery course in Eagle Island State Park. The Northwest Regional included runners from Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii. The Northwest Regional is one of eight regional qualifying meets leading up to the national finals at Portland Meadows on Dec. 7. Fields of 22 seven-runner teams and an additional 45 individuals (male and female) will compete in the national race.
