Jamboree announces Dierks Bentley as second headliner

The Oregon Jamboree announced Dierks Bentley as its second headliner Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Bentley boasts 10 No. 1 singles on six albums, two of which went platinum, and 11 Grammy nominations.

This will be Bentley’s third time performing for the Jamboree crowd; he performed as a headliner in 2011 and 2007 as well. Bentley’s return to Sweet Home comes on the heels of his newest album release, “Riser,” which features his newest No. 1 singles, “Drunk on a Plane” and “I Hold On.”

Bentley will join previously announced headline artist Keith Urban. Urban was the first country artist to be named an American Idol judge, a role he will reprise for the show in its 14th season, and is a four-time Grammy Award winner. He’s won 11 Academy of Country Music Awards and has had 16 No. 1 songs and five consecutive platinum or multi-platinum albums.

Bentley received four nominations for the 2014 Country Music Association Awards, including Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year along with Urban.

The Oregon Jamboree will announce two more acts to its lineup on the Oregon Jamboree Facebook page during the 2014 CMA Awards shown on ABC affiliates on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
