James “Jim” Johnson, 58, of Sweet Home died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006.
He was born to “Big” Don and Margaret (Chaplin) Johnson in Lebanon.
He was born and raised in Lebanon and moved to Sweet Home in 2000.
He served in Vietnam while enlisted 14 years in the U.S. Army and later the National Guard of Oregon for the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of Harvest Christian Center in Sweet Home.
He was the founder and an active member of the Christian Motorcycle Association Lebanon Chapter.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He loved motorcycles and spreading God’s word. He served others with love and compassion.
Mr. Johnson is survived by wife, Shirlee Johnson of Sweet Home; children, Bobby Johnson and Jennie Johnson of Sweet Home, Andy Johnson, Carrie Ward and Kim Collins all of Lebanon; stepsons, Dwayne Swezey of Eugene and Michael Swezey of Tigard; mother, Margaret Johnson of Lebanon; sisters, Jan Maxwell and Roxanne Johnson both of Lebanon; brothers, Mike Johnson of Independence and JR Johnson of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his father, “Big” Don
Services were held on Oct. 30 at Harvest Christian Center. Memorial contributions may be made to his surviving spouse and minor children or Evergreen Hospice of Albany.
