James Pointer-Loop, 21, of Sweet Home died Oct. 30, 2012.
He was born in Salem to Wayne Pointer and Tamara Lorine (Bagwell) Loop.
He completed the 10th grade.
Mr. Pointer-Loop spent his life helping others. He loved working on cars and dirt bikes. He loved going camping, fishing, hunting and playing in the mud.
He lived in Lebanon the majority of his life.
He leaves behind his 18-month-old son, Zadin Miller of Sweet Home. He was proud to be a father and adored Zadin.
He is also survived by his parents; brothers Bobby Loop of Sweet Home, Thomas Barkdull of Lebanon, and Kyle and Cody Fairman of Tennessee; sisters Rachael Barkdull of Lebanon, Amanda Roark of Sweet Home and Jessica Fairman of Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Virgil Bales.
Viewing is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, also at the funeral home. A potluck dinner will follow at the Lebanon Elks Lodge, 633 Park St.
The James Pointer-Loop memorial fund has been set up at Umpqua Bank to help with funeral costs and to go towards his son.
