The Sweet Home School Board honored the district’s January ESPY honorees at its monthly meeting Jan. 9.
Honorees include, in front from left: Harper Ficek, first grade, Oak Heights; Rylee Reed, third grade, Sweet Home Charter School; Meadow Smith, second grade, Holley; Aurora Gainer, third grade, Sweet Home Charter School; Moses Basl, second grade, Foster; Jacob McConnell, sixth grade, Oak Heights and Ivy Leaton, second grade, Foster. In the rear is Russell Schroeder, seventh grade, Sweet Home Junior High.
Also honored but not available for the photo were: Akemi Jimenez Ramon, sophomore, Sweet Home High School; Reese Volkers, junior, Sweet Home High School; Mailey Brewer, eighth grade, Sweet Home Junior High; Harper McBride, kindergarten, Hawthorne; and Lincoln Funk, fourth grade, Hawthorne.
The Exceptional Student Performance This Year award is presented to students who are doing well academically, and have an exceptionally positive attitude about school, demonstrate respect and responsibility toward staff and their peers, show courage by not conforming to peer pressure and refuse to accept anyone who bullies.
