Jardena “Yari” Marie Palmer and Ian Keith Scofield of Albany were married on March 24 in Lebanon at Fairview Community Church.
Mrs. Scofield is the daughter of Lydia Palmer and the late Stanley Palmer of Sweet Home. She attended Sweet Home High School She is employed by Iron Mountain as a data entry specialist.
Mr. Scofield is the son of Keith and Debbie Scofield of Sweet Home and grandson of Joan Scofield of Sweet Home. He attended Linn-Benton Community College and is attending Oregon State University. He is employed by the OSU library.
Calvin Bontranger performed the wedding ceremony.
Maid of honor was friend Milly Stanberry of Denver, Colo. Bridesmaids were sister Heidi Scofield of Sweet Home and cousin Crystal Sliman of Albany.
Flower girl was cousin Anya Edgerly of Albany. Ring bearer was cousin Alex Sliman of Albany.
Best man was brother Ethan Palmer of Sweet Home. Ushers were friends Joshua Ryan of Albany and Robert Easter of Lebanon.
Brother Ricky Palmer of Washington gave the bride away.
The bride wore a white strapless gown with deep red trim and streamers in the back, handmade by her Aunt Debbie. She carried red and white roses.
The bridesmaids wore silver strapless dresses and carried white roses.
The flower girl wore a black dress with red trim.
The groom wore a black tux with a red vest and tie.
Ushers wore black tuxes with silver vests and ties.
The ceiling was draped with strings of white mini-lights. Bowls of red roses decorated candlelit tables.
Keith Scofield played the cello, and Bryan Clark played the piano for the wedding.
Wedding photographer was Ron Parrot.
A potluck dinner followed the wedding with 150 to 200 attending.
The wedding cake was created by the bride’s Aunt Becky Custad of Dallas.
The newlyweds took their honeymoon in Newport. The bride left wearing her bridal clothing from the ceremony.
The couple will live in Albany.
The bride lived in Sweet Home for more than 15 years. The groom has lived in Albany for nearly seven years.
