Jeanne Grace Carroll Griffin, 77, died of cancer June 1, 2007 in her home.
She was born Dec. 18, 1929 in South Dakota, one of 13 siblings to Micheal Joseph Carroll and Mary Neiss Carroll.
As a young girl she attended St. Frances, she lived on Rosebud Reservation. She was a nurse at St. Frances Hospital for many years. In 1954 she moved to Albany and in 1977 married Melvin Griffin. Together they then moved to Sweet Home where she settled for the last 26 years.
Mrs. Griffin had a great outlook on life, was always laughing and loved playing jokes on family and friends. Her hobbies included camping, crabbing, clamming, watching WWF wrestling and traveling, which she loved. Her family was the joy of her life.
She is survived by brothers, Micheal Joseph Carroll of Idaho and Frank Wade Carroll of Sweet Home; sister, Dorthy Carroll of California; children, Sandy Carroll, Denzel Conner, Clete Conner and Clarice Brown of Oregon, Jesse Caudle of Arizona; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin in 2001.
