Jerry Eugene Edwards, 83, of Sweet Home died Nov. 21, 2018.
He was born May 2, 1935 in Jamesport, Mo. to Jonathan W. and Lydamae (Troxel) Edwards.
His family moved to Los Angeles, California in 1945, then to Lebanon in 1950. After five years in Lebanon they moved to Spokane, Wash. until 1959, finally settling in Sweet Home.
Mr. Edwards served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959.
He worked as a truck driver. He was a non-denominational Christian. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Edwards of Sweet Home; son Mark Edwards of Lebanon; daughter Brenda Amsdon of Eagle River, Alaska; brother Norman Edwards of Lebanon; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonathan and Lyda Edwards; daughter Sheryl Edwards in 1959; and brother Harold Edwards in 2008.
A memorial service was held Nov. 30 at Sweet Home Senior Center.
