Jerry Lee Cockrell, 55, of Sweet Home died Sept. 27, 2006.
He was born April 18, 1951 to Wilbur and Irma (Loche) Cockrell in Moorehead, Minn.
Mr. Cockrell had lived in Sweet Home for 21 years with family and friends. He helped in various situations when called upon and was said to be a person who knew a little something about everything. He could fix houses, cars, yards, etc. No job was too difficult for him and he did everything with a smile and an “it can be done” attitude.
Mr. Cockrell loved being with his dog, Patches. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending family reunions, where he liked to play horseshoes or pool.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Cockrell of Sweet Home; daughter, Jaime Rooney of Sweet Home; sons, Brien and Jerry Jr.; five brothers, Dave, Larry, Kenny, Bud and Everett; two sisters, Carol and Arlis; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at River of Life Fellowship.
