JoAnne Haley
Aug. 20, 1930 – Feb. 9, 2026
JoAnne (Walker) Haley, 95, of Lebanon, passed away Feb. 9, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Hollywood, Calif., to parents Jesse and Evelyn (Murphy) Walker. She spent her early years in Southern California, with her dear parents and cherished younger sister Barbara, before her family moved to Brush Creek in 1943.
She attended school in a one-room schoolhouse, where she met the love of her life, Theron (Bud) Haley.
Theron and JoAnne married in 1949. They started a business, Haley Construction
Co., and later started another, Lebanon Logging Co. They started a family, eventually having six children, and moved to Lebanon.
JoAnne was known for her excellent cooking, delicious baking, and blue-ribbon canning. She was an expert seamstress and was well known for her superb hospitality. She enjoyed taking care of her house, vegetable garden, and yard, especially the flowers, with roses being her favorite.
JoAnne was noted for her genuine warmth, humbleness, and quiet strength. Her daily
life reflected her unwavering Christian values everywhere she went. Her family, friends,
and neighbors can all attest to the fact that JoAnne never spoke a single negative word
in her entire life.
Out of all the roles she had, it was being a wife, mother and grandma that she thoroughly enjoyed the most. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
JoAnne is survived by her sister. Barbara Stoeffler of Eugene; by her four children, Cathleen (Dennis) Potter of Prineville, Randy (Joni) Haley of Lebanon, Carol (Tom) Endersby of Junction City, and Christina (Tim) Kleint of Lebanon; 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Bud; her oldest
child Richard; and her youngest child Ronnie.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Elm Street Baptist Church in Sweet Home, with a dinner following for all.
