John M. Eager, 69, of Sweet Home died April 11, 2009.
He was born May 22. 1939 in Whittier, Calif. to Arthur and Dorothy (Meier) Eager.
He and his family lived in Whittier until he was 7 years old. They then lived in Japan from 1946-1947 because his stepfather was in the Navy, then moved to Kodiac, Alaska from 1950-1952. He enjoyed working on small engines, car engines and generators.
Mr. Eager is survived by his wife Brenda; son Gary Eager; daughter Nancy Griffin; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and brother Wayne Ritch.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Sheryl Johnson and granddaughter Kimberly Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sweet Home.
