John Jack “Uncle John” Victor, 77 , a longtime resident of Livingston, Calif. and more recent resident of Sweet Home, died July 17, 2007. He was born July 1, 1930 to Manuel and Mary Marie (Silva) Victor in Atwater, Calif.
He enjoyed a full life with his family working on his own dairy farm as well as raising sweet potatoes and almonds in the Livingston area. He retired to Sweet Home, which he came to love and think of as home in his last years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda J. Victor; and by four children, Betty Etchison, George Victor, Patsy Maurer and Tommy Victor; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; more adopted children, grandchildren and more friends than could possibly be mentioned.
Services were held July 21 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. A second memorial service will be held in California at a date and time to be announced later.
