John Michael Walton, 61, of Sweet Home died Oct. 14, 2017.
He was born July 16, 1956 in Roseburg to Margaret L. (Tucker) and Harold “Zeke” E. Walton.
He lived in Roseburg until 1961, then moved to Florence and lived there for 26 years. In 1987, he moved to Bend for several years and came to Sweet Home in 2004.
Mr. Walton was an Oregon State Parks employee. He was a long-haul trucker, a transportation manager at Mt. Bachelor, and most recently, a driver for the Linn Shuttle service.
He loved to fly fish, travel, and camp. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and NHRA racing. He was a big Dallas Cowboy fan.
Mr. Walton is survived by his sister, Patricia Walton of Sweet Home; brother Mark and sister-in-law Kathy Walton of Bend; step-daughters Leah Elmquist and Haley Cabral, both of Bend; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice for Callie Fund.
