Johnny Eugene O’Hagan, 79, of Sweet Home, died April 27, 2023.
He was born Feb. 1, 1944, in Merced, Calif., the son of Jesse Everett and SA (Elkins) O’Hagan. He grew up in Plainsburg, Calif., and lived in Winton, Calif. He and his wife, Paulette, moved to Sweet Home in 2016.
Mr. O’Hagan drove tractor and was a diesel mechanic. He had a love for dirt track car racing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, water skiing and exploring the mountains and outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Paulette O’Hagan; son Jerry and daughter-in-law Tara O’Hagan; daughter Kim and son-in-law Frank Clinton-Bazzar; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dennis O’Hagan and Donnie O’Hagan; and sister Charlotte Dixon.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 5, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. O’Hagan’s name to the Alzheimers Association. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
