Joseph Gregory Topp, 54, of Waldport died of a stroke May 24, 2009 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
He was born July 5, 1954 in Bertha, Minn., the son of Theodora Mary Braun Topp and Eugene Henry Topp. He graduated from Sweet Home Union High School in 1972. He joined the Air Force, serving until 1975, when he joined the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a construction worker.
