Joyce Farris

Joyce Farris, 81, of Sweet Home, passed away Jan. 29, 2025 at her home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1943, in Silverton to Joseph and Mable Kirk.
Joyce graduated from Sweet Home High School, then later worked for a variety of local firms: Mid-City IGA, Glen’s Market, Embossing Arts, Slip ‘N’ Snip and White’s Electronics. She was also involved in Friends of the Library.
She enjoyed fishing and camping in Waldport, sewing, knitting, baking, going to concerts, volunteering at Holley Church, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her wiener dogs, gardening and having fun in life.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Micheal Farris of Sweet Home; son Mark Farris of Vale; daughter Denise Armstrong of Sweet Home; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mable Farris; and her in-laws, Blanche and Hoyt Coble.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, at Holley Church.
