Juanita Rae Deffenbaugh, 83, of Sweet Home, died May 13, 2018.
She was born May 25, 1934 in Bend to Ernest Elmer and Blanche Carolyn (Trento) Arthur.
She went to Liberty School and graduated from Sweet Home High School. She met Charles Deffenbaugh in 1946 and they were married in 1953.
She spent most of her life in the Liberty area. She went to computer programming school in 1968.
Mrs. Deffenbaugh enjoyed outdoor activities, gardening, reading, knitting and quilting. She learned to paint while living in Alaska in a logging camp. She was very artistic and canned preserves and many other things.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Deffenbaugh is survived by her husband Charles of Sweet Home; five children, Tanya of Alaska, Charles Jr. “Skip” of Florence, and Jeff and Lewanna, both of Sweet Home; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Kathryn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at 2022 Pleasant Valley Road, Sweet Home.
