Judith Ann Schmidt, 83, of Sweet Home. passed away July 3, 2026.
She was born Nov. 18, 1942, to Alice Pauline (Harsh) and Luther W. Head in Long Beach, Calif.
She lived in Anaheim, Calif., before moving to Sweet Home in 1989. She was a member of the Sweet Home VFW Auxillary. She was involved in the Catholic Church.
Judith enjoyed crafts, painting, drawing, sewing and crocheting. She also liked to go fishing and hunting.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Lindsay of Sweet Home, Kenneth Schmidt of San Pedro, Calif., and Stacey Kent of Lufkin, Texas; siblings Sandra Launder of Sweet Home and James Marburger of Chico, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack K. Schmidt (2019), and sisters Gwendolyn Head (1937), Carolyn Coehlo (2013) and Ellen Pepperdine (2016).
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Gilliland Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at 2 p.m. at the Sweet Home VFW.
