Judy Ann Keeney, 69, died July 26, 2014 of cancer.
She was born April 20, 1945 in Cherokee, Okla., to Otis and Vivian Barr. They moved to Oregon in 1951 and she grew up in Willamina.
In March 1967 she married William A. “Bill” Keeney and moved to Sweet Home. She worked a variety of jobs over the years and volunteered for the Linn County Museum. However, she spent most of her time as a loving mother and grandmother.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year and was undergoing treatment. She fought vigorously, relentlessly and courageously until the end.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Keeney; sons William K. “King” Keeney of Clarksville, Tenn. and William C. “Chanz” Keeney of Sweet Home; two grandchildren; a brother, Andy Barr of Baker; and sister Karen Kaping of Houston, Texas.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Riverside Christian Church on Green River Road.
