Sweet Home Junior High last week named its Students of the Month for January in a pair of ceremonies held separately for the eighth-graders and for the seventh-graders.
The eighth-grade ceremony, held Friday, Jan. 27, included an appearance by the school mascot, seen in the third photo handing out a certificate and some goodies to honoree Kevin Williams.
The ceremony also included the finals of a badmitton tournament, as seen in the fourth photo, held for physical education students. Riley Vaughn, left, and Kason Koenig-Walters batted it out, with Koenig-Walters edging Vaughn as the allotted time for the competition ran out.
