The Sweet Home junior varsity football team defeated Molalla 26-12 last week.
The Huskies scored on a 10-yard pass from Emmert to Howe in the first, scoring two extra points on an Emmert run.
In the second, Graves earned a touchdown on a two-yard run, with a failed run.
In the the third, Miner scored on a four-yard run, with a failed run.
In the fourth, Miner scored again on a two-yard run, with a failed run to tally 26 points.
Molalla scored touchdowns on a 10-yard run in the third and a two-yard run in the fourth, failing runs for extra points to score a total of 12.
“The guys came out excited and played well,” Coach David Younger said. “Molalla’s field was in horrible shape, which really helped our running game.
“We only threw three passes all night and completed all three of them. The O-line needs to be recognized for the job they did. Defensively, we played very well.
“Molalla had two big plays that set up their touchdowns. Other than those breakdowns, the defense played excellently.
“I was really happy for the guys. They finish the season 9-0, outscoring their opponents 405-90. I think the thing I am happiest about is every guy on the JV team contributed to the season. Throughout the season, we lost a few guys to varsity, but there was really no dropoff.
