Justin James Terherst, 27, of Lebanon, died July 22, 2007, at Providence Medical Center in Portland.
He was born May 30, 1980 in Manteca, Calif. He moved to Sweet Home as a young child. He later came to Lebanon and graduated in1998 from Lebanon High School. He then attended classes at Linn Benton Community College. He married Stephany Dennis on Aug. 20, 2005.
Mr. Terherst had worked locally for Knife River in Harrisburg and also as a bouncer at Sherman Street Bar & Grill.
He had been a coach for the Lebanon Mat Club Wrestling Team and played football for the East Linn Loggers. He enjoyed participating in full-contact fighting and going hunting and camping with his family.
He is survived by his wife Stephany and son Owen James Terherst, both of Lebanon; mother, Annette Swanson of Crawfordsville; father, Gordon Swanson of Lebanon; brother, Scott Swanson of Crawfordsville; grandparents, and Kirtie and Cleta Terherst of Sweet Home.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Richard and Isabelle Swanson and his uncle, John Pepple.
