JV Huskies down Tigers

The JV baseball team used a combined 25 hits to score 23 runs in a double header sweep over Junction City. Pitching and defense was strong as well in the opener as Adam Hummer retired the Tigers 1-2-3 in every inning but the third. Joe Ellis, Kyle Aubert and Matt Morneault had two hits each in the 13-3 victory that ended after five innings.

In game two, clutch hitting and timely defense, including two double plays, were the keys. The Huskies took control in the sixth inning and held on for the 10-9 win. Hummer led the Husky hitting barrage with three hits while Trevor Tagle, Kyle Pettit, Aubert, and Morneault contributed two each. Aubert won the game in relief.
