Kathryn Heinonen

Kathryn JoAnn Heinonen, 79, of Sweet Home, passed away Nov. 27, 2025, at the age of 79.
She was born April 9, 1946, in Duluth, Minn., to Kenneth Erickson and Esther Johansen. She graduated from Clover Valley High School in 1964.
She married Clifford Eugene Heinonen in Duluth, and together raised two children, Ann Staten and Robert Heinonen, and were later blessed with two grandchildren, Gregory Davis and Casey Staten, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Kathryn spent many years working as a skilled seamstress at Caddis Manufacturing and Sterns, where she helped craft lifejackets and other garments. Later in life, she worked as a receptionist.
In 1986, Kathryn and her family moved from Minnesota to Florida, then settled in Oregon in 1990.
Kathryn had a deep love for crocheting, and she created countless handmade treasures for friends and family – each one stitched with love and care.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Ann Staten, and her two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Eugene Heinonen; sister Mary Johnson; and her son, Robert Heinonen.
