Kathy Cook, 45, of Sweet Home died Oct. 2, 2012.
She was born July 17, 1967 in Monett, Mo. to Hugh Marvin and Wynona Jean (Burkhart) Gorman.
She moved to Topeka, Kan.and also lived in Butler, Mo. before moving to Sweet Home in 2004.
Mrs. Cook loved the Lord and loved to be with her horses and enjoyed riding them.
She is survived by her husband, Shawn Cook of Sweet Home; mother Jean House of Shell Knob, Mo.; son Bryce Gorman of Sweet Home; step-son Cody Cook of Kansas City and step-daughter Tiffany McCalla of Kansas City; brothers Robert Gorman of Pueblo, Colo., Tommy Gorman of Joplin, Mo., Mike Gorman of Shell Knob, Mo. and John Gorman of Wheaton, Mo.; sisters Connie Wilmers of Joplin, Mo. and Janice Rickle of Lone Jack, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her father, H. Marvin Gorman.
Funeral services were held Oct. 8 at Sweet Home Mennonite Church, with final burial at Gilliland Cemetery.
