Kenneth Keil Reynolds Sr., 78, of Sweet Home died Feb. 2, 2012.
He was born June 20, 1933 in Crawfordsville to Edgar and Marie (Arehart) Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds lived in both Brownsville and Sweet Home for many years. He drove log trucks for more than 25 years for Rice Logging and was a truck driver for 58 years. Mr. Reynolds grew up attending the Holley Christian Church. He was baptized in the Calapooia River in 1948 after accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
He loved to hunt and fish and had been on many Alaskan fishing trips. He dreamed of moving to Alaska and living off the land. He had an infectious laugh that filled the room whenever he was around.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by children, son Richard and daughter-in-law Mary Sue Reynolds of Sweet Home, daughter Barbara and son-in-law Scott Woll of Clackamas, son Timothy Reynolds of Halsey, son Kenneth Jr. and daughter-in-law Tamara Reynolds of Sweet Home, daughter Rebecca Ermini of Clackamas, son Wayne and daughter-in-law Cathy Reynolds of Shedd, Dale Reynolds of Brownsville, daughter Connie Lorenzo of Albany, daughter Mollie Reynolds of Sweet Home, son Steven Reynolds of Portland, and son Scott and daughter-in-law Carrie Reynolds of Oregon City; sister Rose and brother-in-law Robert Rice of Sweet Home, brother Donald and sister-in-law Shanna Reynolds of Stayton, sister Carol Nichol of Sweet Home, and sister Patricia and brother-in-law Richard Cheek of Sweet Home; 28 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, with two on the way.
Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Reynolds Sr. and Marie Reynolds; brother Edgar Reynolds Jr.; nephew Robert Reynolds; brother-in-law Michael Nichol; great-niece Katie Reynolds; and grandson Vincent Ermini.
A graveside service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Gilliland Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at Community Chapel in Sweet Home.
