Kenneth “Kenny” Albert Strasser, 49, of Sweet Home, died at his home on Feb. 22, 2006.
He was born in Ventura, Calif., to Clarence and Geraldine Marie (Stalkup) Strasser, and lived most of his life in Ojai, Calif.
Mr. Strasser came to Sweet Home in 1992 from Capistrano Beach, Calif. He married Joy Hosteter in September of 1989 at Lake Tahoe.
In California, he was a wildland firefighter. He worked for Mallard Creek Golf Course for three years and owned a restaurant called Sweet Home Cafe.
Mr. Strasser was outgoing and was known for his quick wit and his sense of humor. He was athletic and played a lot of baseball in his youth, was a very good soccer player and an avid golfer. He loved working with kids and volunteered as a coach for the Boys and Girls Club. He had a great love for music and was very talented with the harmonica and guitar. He enjoyed jamming with his friends and family.
Mr. Strasser is survived by his wife, Joy; son, Carson; daughter, Colleen; mother, Geraldine; sisters, Gail Nye of Montana and Cristie Strasser of Albany; brother, James Strasser of California; father-in-law, Robert Hosteter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Strasser.
