Country music superstar Kenny Rogers is booked to headline the Oregon Jamboree’s Saturday show, and Lorrie Morgan is scheduled to perform during Friday night’s show.
Rogers’ success as a global entertainer is unique. In the span of nearly five decades, Rogers has recorded 59 albums, which have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.
As one of country music’s biggest crossover successes, Rogers has been honored with four Grammy Awards, 11 People’s Choice Awards, 18 American Music Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards and five Country Music Association Awards.
Rogers’ 59th record, There You Go Again, was released last fall.
The Oregon Jamboree is the Northwest’s largest country music and camping festival, featuring three days of music. The dates for this year’s Jamboree are Aug. 3-5.
The ninth annual Oregon Jamboree will feature eight national acts and five regional acts for a total of 13 shows over the three days. The Jamboree estimates approximately 6,500 persons attend daily during the event.
A partial list of performers scheduled include Aug 3, Lorrie Morgan; Aug 4, Kenny Rogers, Tracy Byrd and the Sons of the Desert; and Aug. 5, Lee Ann Womack and Boggus, Berry and Dean.
