Kimberly Raebel

Jan. 7, 1957 – May 14, 2011

Kimberly Louise Raebel, 54, of Tigard died May 14, 2011.

She was born Jan. 7, 1957 in Hayward, Calif. to Don and Norma Louise (Burningham) Grant.

She was born and raised in the Bay Area. Her family moved to Sweet Home in the late 1960s, where she attended Sweet Home High School before graduating from South Albany High in 1975. She went on to attend Linn-Benton Community College where she received her degree for dental assisting in 1982.

Mrs. Raebel worked in her field for over 25 years in Sweet Home, Salem, and the Portland metropolitan area. At one time she was one of three people in the state who had every dental certificate available. She moved to the Portland metropolitan area in the mid-1980s and lived in Tigard until her passing.

Mrs. Raebel was an adventurist at heart, and enjoyed the outdoors, jet skiing and mountain biking. She thought of her second home as being Mammoth Lakes, Calif. and visited there often to enjoy the high desert.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Brennan of Tigard; sons Joshua Meyers of Portland and Jordan Raebel of Tigard; parents Don and Louise Grant of Sweet Home; brother Rod of Camas, Wash.; and sister Laura Warren of Lebanon.

Funeral services were held May 21 at The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints.

Donations can be made to the giver’s charity of choice in memory of Mrs. Raebel.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
