I would like to thank Cliff and Devina Oden, volunteers who give a considerable amount of time to folks navigating Medicare.
These volunteers are counselors in SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefit Assistance). They provide accurate and objective health insurance information to the public through individual counseling and also assist with difficult claims and disputes. During the annual open enrollment period of October 15-December 7 both counselors worked two and three times the typical hours as they worked hard to make sure each person in need of assistance was able to receive it. They scheduled vacation around the period of annual enrollment so they can be in town to help members of the public – that is dedication! Our community is a better place because of amazing people like the Oden’s. I would like to take this opportunity to give a very big thanks Cliff and Devina for working so hard to take care of Medicare clients.
