The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance investigating the death of a 36-year-old Sweet Home woman.
Hikers reported finding the body on Forest Road 2212 in the Umpqua National Forest, about 38 miles east of Interstate Five and Cottage Grove on July 9.
The body was identified as Heaven “Angel” King of Sweet Home.
Lane County detectives are investigating the cause of death and how her body came to be at that location.
Investigators would like anyone who saw King or her silver 1991 Honda Accord, license plate UYK 382, between noon on Tuesday, July 8, until afternoon on Wednesday, July 9, to contact the Lane County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center at (541) 682-4141.
