LaRane G. Bowler, 78, of Reedsport died Sept. 10, 2008.
She was born Feb. 17, 1930 in Bountiful, Utah to Arthor DeVan and Nellie LaPreal (Green) Burningham.
She married Richard Bowler Sr. in Reno, Nev., in 1949. They lived in the Bay Area for a time before coming to Sweet Home in the late 1960s, then moved to Reedsport in the late 1980s to retire.
Mrs. Bowler bowled in her younger years. She loved to crochet and she always shared what she made with her family. She loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Bowler Sr.; children Carol Elizabeth Bell, Richard Bowler Jr. and Norman Arthur Bowler; siblings Louise Grant, Noel Burningham and RaEtta Boughner; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, John William Bowler.
A funeral service was held Sept. 13 at the Sweet Home Mennonite Church, with burial at Gilliland Cemetery.
