Laura Sherwood, 47, of Sweet Home died March 23, 2011.
She was born Dec. 17, 1963 in Charleston, S.C. to Otis Doyle and Alvaree (Hart) Vandagriff.
She grew up in Mountain Home, Idaho and graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1982. She attended Northwest Nazarene University, where she met her husband Rick Sherwood. They married in 1983.
They lived in Minnesota and Montana before settling in Oregon in 1997, and eventually moving to Sweet Home in 2001.
Mrs. Sherwood was a member and Sunday School teacher for the Sweet Home Church of the Nazarene. She was a contributing member and vice president of Fair Share Gleaners.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting and art. Most of all she loved her family. She touched the lives of everyone she met in a positive way.
Mrs. Sherwood is survived by her husband Rick; children Van, Aurora and Brom; brother Steve; sisters Vivian, Diane and Joan; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Sweet Home Church of the Nazarene. Final burial will be Lewis Cemetery.
