Jon Carnahan, president of Linn-Benton Community College, presented School District 55 board chair Don Hopkins and Supt. Dr. Larry Horton with a check for $50,000 Monday.
The money is the first in a series of payments that will total $500,000 by the time the construction of a new LBCC learning center is completed on the campus of Sweet Home High School. LBCC has a 30 year lease with School District 55.
