Expansion of the Emergency Department at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital is complete. The department now features 20 private patient rooms, nearly double the department’s previous capacity.
Within the expansion are three rooms for patients needing extra supervision, and two large trauma rooms. The larger Emergency Department allows the hospital to serve the future needs of east Linn County as the region continues to grow.
This completes a multi-department expansion that began in 2015 with the construction of new Surgery and Same Day Care departments, and continued with the Emergency Department expansion.
Besides the new emergency rooms, the project also brought two new large surgery suites, a procedure room and 14 private Same Day pre-op/post-op rooms to east Linn County.
Total project cost was $11 million. The Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation raised $2 million toward the project and is finalizing a 2017 $150,000 top-off grant commitment from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
