Lee Brice, Thomas Rhett added to Oregon Jamboree line-up

The Oregon Jamboree announced last week that Lee Brice and Thomas Rhett will join the 2015 festival line-up.

Initially gaining attention as a songwriter, Rhett’s credits include the two-week No. 1 “Round Here” for Florida Georgia Line, the top-15 smash “1994” for Jason Aldean and “Parking Lot Party” for Lee brice. He transitioned to performance with his chart-topping platinum-certified “It Goes Like This,” with a three-week run on the Billboard Country Singles Chart that tied the record set by Miranda Lambert with “The House That Built Me.”

The Valdosta, Ga., native’s debut album, “It Goes Like This,” also produced his second consecutive platinum-certified No. 1 single, “Get Me Some of That,” as well as two top-15 hits, “Beer With Jesus” and “Something to Do With My Hands.” His latest single is “Make Me Wanna.”

He was a Country Music Association New Artist of the Year nominee.

Brice also started as a songwriter. After relocating from his native South Carolina to Music City, the one-time Clemson lineman found early success, with songs picked up by established artists like Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Kenney Chesney and Jarrod Niemann. Garth Brooks reached No. 1 with Brice’s “More Than a Memory.”

He released his debut album, “Love Like Crazy,” in 2009. The title track reached No. 3 on the Billboard Country chart and set a record as the longest-charting song in that chart’s history. In 2012, he topped his own success with “Hard 2 Love,” an album that went gold and featured three No. 1 singles, including “I Drive Your Truck,” “A Woman Like You” And “Hard to Love” as well as the top-10 “Parking Lot Party.

His third album, “I Don’t Dance,” followed in 2014, and its first single, the title track, became his fourth No. 1 hit in August.

Rhett and Brice join previously announced headliners Keith Urban and Dierks Bentley.

Rhett has performed at the Oregon Jamboree twice before, 2012 and 2013. Brice will appear at the Jamboree for the first time.

The Oregon Jamboree is owned and produced by the Sweet Home Economic Development Group to benefit economic development and charitable projects in Sweet Home and Linn County. It is presented by South Pacific Auto Sales.
