Leola Varian Burnett, 92, a longtime resident of Sweet Home, died Oct. 27, 2014 in Lebanon.
She was born April 2, 1922 in Elmira to Dalton and Mable (Curtis) Jeans.
She lived in the Eugene area until moving to and settling in Sweet Home in 1951.
Mrs. Burnett was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Lebanon and Sweet Home Christian Church.
She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and the outdoors. She loved trips to the coast and drives in the mountains.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice Faye and son-in-law Bernt Nicklasson of Sweet Home, and Judy and son-in-law Leo Kier of Lebanon; son Glen G. Burnett of Lebanon; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; nieces Helen Bowman of Eugene, and Kathryn Hopson of Creswell; and cousin Dorothy Cole of Lebanon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen F. Burnett, on April 15, 1994; and sister Zaida Allen.
Funeral services were held Nov. 1 at Southside Church of Christ in Lebanon, with final burial at Gilliland Cemetery.
