Leota V. Dowling, 78, of Sweet Home died Nov. 28, 2007 at her home. She was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Lake Stevens, Wash. to Joseph and Pearl (Inglish) Hisey. She lived in Lake Stevens before moving to Seattle. She married Harold Dowling on July 26, 1952 and they came to Sweet Home in 1956.
Mrs. Dowling was a registered nurse. She loved being with her family and working with her flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; children, Cathy Jo Melton of Portland, Virginia Dougherty of Pittsburgh, Pa., Harry Dowling of Pittsburgh, Pa., William Dowling of Arlington, Va., Robert Dowling of Houston, Texas, and Patricia Dowling of Costa Mesa, Calif.; three siblings and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to Lebanon Community Hospital. At her request, no services are planned.
