Stanley and Sharon Lester celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party thrown by their children and grandchildren at the Elks Lodge on Saturday, June 10.
Stan Lester of Sweet Home and Sharon Rhoades of Lebanon were married June 15, 1956 at First Baptist Church in Lebanon. Both were born in Washington state. They have lived in Sweet Home since they were married.
The family went on a trip to Cancun, Mexico, in May.
Children include Marsha (Jim) Philpott, Joni (John) Hook, Carol (Jim) Berg and Larry (Sandy) Lester.
The Lesters are retired. Stan Lester enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, riding four-wheelers and traveling.
Sharon Lester enjoys reading, fishing, gardening, camping and traveling.
