Letter: Alternatives to abortion available (July 13, 2022)

This is in response to the opinions of Diane Daiute (July 6) and all those who hold similar views.

It’s time to take responsibility for your own actions. The truth is you want to live your life without restraints and suffer no consequences for your actions.

Growing up, we had a saying: “If you can’t do the time, don’t commit the crime.”

Sorry to tell you this, Diane, but every person will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give an account for their actions. You don’t believe there is a God; the devil does.

God made everything so He makes the rules. If you don’t believe that, it’s your choice, but it doesn’t change the truth. You obviously don’t like or agree with the constitution, but it is precisely the reason you’re able to voice your opinion.

Now to address some of your thoughts.

You don’t like the recent Supreme Court ruling on abortion. Well, get over it. I didn’t like the 1973 opinion. Don’t want to become pregnant? Don’t have sex outside of marriage, or insist your partner use a condom, or have your tubes tied.

For all you pro-choice men out there, try a vasectomy.

Or you can have the child, put it up for adoption with the adoptive parents willingly paying the expenses.

Premeditated murder is not women’s health care, no matter who tells you it is. Using my tax dollars to pay for your irresponsible behavior ain’t too cool! It was never intended that the government clean up your mess. It’s not the government’s job to feed you, pay your medical bills or house you.

If you want to live in a welfare state, move to Canada.

Jesus said the truth will set you free. You’re so taken with the lies that you’re blind to reality and a prisoner to your own deception. It’s a true saying: “the self-deceived are the most deceived!”

One more thing: Last time I looked we had a democratic president, House and Senate – a party, by the way, that is totally godless. You might want to rethink your position on Jesus, right and wrong, truth and untruth.
