Letters to the Editor – Green Peter drawdown

The Green Peter drawdown was supposed to help the fish. When the water is this muddy, how can the fish breathe? Who can believe the fish are better off? Especially when the drawdown killed a few thousand fish in the process.

Common sense would say that all this unexpected collateral damage would prescribe an immediate shutdown of this program to permit rethinking the unforeseen consequences. If a judge ordered it, surely he can cancel it.

And if the fish are rescued by discontinuing the current drawdown, so will the city’s water system, which is not an unimportant consideration. People matter too.
