Both Dana Kirk and Mark Holden teach at Sweet Home Junior High and recently published their books. About 30 people attended the event, with local and visiting writers reading passages from their work. The library will host another open mic night at 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 22 Corrina Dominy will read from her book, “Matters of the Heart.” Writers should sign up to read beginning at 6 p.m. The program is free and open to the public — to read or just listen to writers present their work.
