The Sweet Home Public Library presented its awards for the Summer Reading Program, “Dig Into Reading,” on July 31.
The Summer Reading Program signed up 308 children for the program and a free temporary library card.
Participating in the Summer Reading Program helps encourage children to keep their reading skills up during the summer, so that when they go back to school they don’t lose any ground, library staff said in a statement. They expressed appreciation for all the families who participated.
There were many exciting programs and activities, and many very enthusiastic children. The librarians urge them to keep on reading.
