Life Skills class members show off some of their wares Wednesday, Dec. 2, during their annual craft fair, held at the Sweet Home School District Office. From left, in front, they are Cody Scott, Zack Johnson, David Pierce and Zane Tweed. In the rear, from left, are Searra Marcks, Nate Williams and Trenton Stewart. The blanket they are holding is one they have made for a raffle on Dec. 16. Tickets are on sale at the junior high office. The event gave students a chance to handle money, interact with customers, show off what they had made and practice social skills. Students were responsible for handling transactions at their own tables, where they sold items such as wreaths, jewelry, beaded angels, bookmarks and Christmas ornaments. Teacher and organizer Dana Simonson said participation was down this year; usually, students from other districts participate. “Things are tight all over,” she said.
