Lillian Marjorie Brown, 96, of Sweet Home passed away Saturday with many of her loved ones by her side. She was born in Valley County, Montana to John and Marie (Reisser) Myhre.
Born on the high line in Montana, she and her siblings Clarence (deceased), Bill of Sweet Home and Alice Rueb (deceased) were protected by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as well as their father, who was the Constable (sheriff) of Teenee, Montana.
Lillian had 96 full and enjoyable years on earth and her beauty and class never diminished. Being a leap year baby, she was 24 years young at the time of her death.
After high school, Lillian moved to Denver, Colorado to attend nursing school. She later returned to Montana and married her sweetheart Benjamin Carlton Brown (deceased) and went on to attain seven degrees in the School of Hard Knocks: Patricia Ramsey of Sweet Home, Carlynn Brownlee of Clinton, Montana, Nancy Blodgett (deceased), Bernie Brown of North Bend, Stella Brown of Juneau, Alaska, Jerry and his wife Penny Brown of Sweet Home, Ethyl and her husband Kip Keel of Hamilton, Montana. They, in turn, presented her with 21 grandchildren, 40 1/2 great-grandchildren, and 27 1/2 great-great-grandchildren. She left many dear friends, namely her loving family at Twin Oaks Nursing Home, and neighbors Rose and Jerry Grimm of Sweet Home.
A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
